Buffalo Sabres forward Kyle Okposo has been traded to the Florida Panthers in exchange for defenseman Calle Sjalin and a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. The draft pick would become a fifth-rounder if the Panthers go on to win the Stanley Cup. The 35-year-old has recorded 12 goals and 22 points across 61 games on a Sabres team that has disappointed again this season. A veteran of 1,045 career regular-season games, Okposo has recorded 242 goals and 614 points for his career. The Panthers have also acquired winger Vladimir Tarasenko while signing defenseman Gustav Forsling to an eight-year extension over the last couple of days.--Brenton Kemp
