The Minnesota Wild have agreed to a two-year contract extension with veteran defenseman Zach Bogosian. The deal carries an average annual value of $1.25 million. The 33-year-old came to the Wild in a deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning in November in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. A rugged blueliner is in the final season of a three-year, $2.55 deal he signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning in the summer of 2021. Bogosian has collected one goal and nine points across 43 games on the season while skating 17:36 per game. He has added 80 hits, 51 blocks, and 43 penalty minutes to his ledger. He has played 830 career regular-season games between the Thrashers, Jets, Sabres, Lightning, Maple Leafs, and Wild.--Brenton Kemp
