Kane's assist to Alex DeBrincat late in regulation helped Detroit take the game into the extra frame, and he finished the contest by making it 3-2 with 1:43 played in overtime. With the effort, Kane extended his point streak to eight games. He has collected five goals and seven assists during the streak, enjoying his best run of form since the days he still represented the home team in United Center.
