Minnesota Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin (illness) will return from a one-game absence on Friday against Pittsburgh. The Swedish rearguard was forced to skip Wednesday's meeting with Chicago due to an illness. Alex Goligoski is expected to make way for Brodin on Friday. Brodin will skate on the second defensive pairing and the second power-play unit. He's totaled 13 points (one goal, 12 assists) in 32 appearances this season. The 30-year-old has enjoyed one of the best offensive spells of the season in his most recent appearances, finishing without a point only once in his past four games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
