Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Erik Karlsson missed Friday's practice due to an illness, leaving his status for Saturday's meeting with the Golden Knights questionable. Karlsson has yet to miss any games during his first year in Pittsburgh. The three-time Norris Trophy winner has disappointed fantasy managers for most of the season, but Karlsson has been on a hot streak lately, going on a seven-game point streak to start off the new year. He has notched 31 points (seven goals, 24 assists) in total in 42 games as a Penguin. Kris Letang would have a chance to move back to the top power-play unit without Karlsson, with Ryan Shea likely grabbing the open spot in the lineup.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
