Alejandro Tosti seemed to be handling himself quite well in his first start as a fully-fledged PGA Tour member in Waialae last week, entering the weekend comfortably inside the top 40 while pacing the field in total driving. A Saturday 77 marked the end of any chance the Argentine had to contend at the top of the Sony leaderboard, but to his credit, Tosti was able to rebound with a Sunday 64 to finish the week at (minus-three). While Waialae's tighter corridors haven't lended themselves to a power-based game like Tosti's, the more benign links of PGA West should prove much more receptive to a bomb-and-gouge approach. As the leader on the Korn Ferry Tour in birdie average, it wouldn't surprise us at all to see Tosti carry on his Round 4 momentum into a solid finish at the American Express.--Ian McNeill - RotoBaller
