Winnipeg Jets center Gabriel Vilardi was activated off of injured reserve on Thursday and could be available for the evening's contest against the Edmonton Oilers. The forward has missed the last 18 games after getting injured against his old team, the Los Angeles Kings, in a game back on Oct. 17. "I'm happy to be playing, it doesn't really matter, I just want to play," Vilardi told the Jets website Wednesday in regards to where he will slot back into the lineup. The 24-year-old, acquired as part of the Pierre-Luc Dubois blockbuster this past summer, has one assist in three games along with nine shots on goal and a minus-one rating. He broke out with 23 goals and 41 points across 63 games with the Kings last season.--Brenton Kemp
