The Chicago Blackhawks have officially terminated the contract of veteran forward Corey Perry after he was unclaimed off waivers over the last 24 hours. The Blackhawks confirmed Perry's absence was due to unacceptable behavior off of the ice but it's still unknown exactly what took place. Nonetheless, Perry is now a free agent free to sign with any NHL club. Additionally, he has the right to file a grievance with the National Hockey League Players' Association, a filing that would need to come within the next 60 days. The former Rocket Richard and Hart Trophy winner registered four goals and nine points across 16 games in his brief Blackhawks tenure.--Brenton Kemp
