Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Damon Severson suffered an upper-body injury in Sunday's 5-2 loss to Philadelphia. He was able to log only 9:57 of action in the contest. The Blue Jackets took their ninth consecutive loss, and the injury to Severson was another blow, as he's one of only a couple of players on the roster who have actually performed well during a miserable campaign. In 19 outings, Severson has posted eight points (three goals, five assists) with 21 shots, 35 blocks, and a plus-one rating. He and forward Justin Danforth are the only players to register a positive plus/minus during the team's 4-11-4 start to the season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
