Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart (back) is expected to return to the crease for Wednesday night's contest against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 25-year-old was expected to return from a back injury on Thursday but remained sidelined, while he last appeared on Nov. 1 when he surrendered two goals on five shots in 10 minutes of work in an eventual 5-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres. Otherwise, it's been a solid start to the season for the former first-round pick, who has posted a 2.52 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage across eight games, going 4-3-0 in that time. Samuel Ersson has seen the bulk of playing time in Hart's absence but has struggled to a 3.43 GAA and .855 save percentage across six contests.--Brenton Kemp
