Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 24-of-27 shots on goal in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss against the Hurricanes. The 24-year-old gave his team a chance to win as the only Hurricanes goals in regulation came on a power-play in the opening frame and later at even-strength around the midway point of the third period. Hurricanes forward Martin Necas found the back of the net for the overtime winner at the 1:30 mark of the extra frame to give the Sabres their first overtime loss of the season. Luukkonen will look for improved results moving forward as the young goaltender has a record of 3-2-1 to go along with a 3.10 goals against average and .899 save percentage through six appearances.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
