Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen showed off great form in Monday's battle with the Sabres, stopping 36 of 37 shots in a 3-1 win. Allen was beaten by Jeff Skinner on the power play in the first period, but he then stood tall for the rest of the way and secured a second consecutive victory when Montreal scored twice in the third period. This is only the fourth time since the start of last season Allen has strung together back-to-back wins. He's had a very tough time playing with a rebuilding team, but the Canadiens look much better in 2023-24, and Allen has benefited from it. The veteran netminder boasts a 2-0-1 record through three starts with a 2.58 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
