New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren missed Saturday's matchup against Columbus with an upper-body injury. Lindgren practiced on Friday and was part of the morning skate on Saturday but was taken out of the lineup. He reportedly injured his hand in the team's season opener on Thursday versus Buffalo. Lindgren was badly missed Saturday as the Rangers got crushed 5-3 on the road, although his replacement on the top defensive pairing, Erik Gustafsson, had a great game with a goal and an assist. The Swedish blue-liner will likely fill in for Lindgren again on Monday versus Arizona if he can't make it back.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
