Florida Panthers forward Carter Verhaeghe (muscle tightness) was finally able to make his 2023 preseason debut in Tuesday's 2-0 loss to Tampa Bay. Verhaeghe has been bothered by muscle tightness in training camp for a second year in a row, but it looks like he's fine now and fully ready for Florida's season opener, which comes next Thursday versus Minnesota. The 28-year-old enters the 2023-24 campaign, having set himself high standards with his play last term. Verhaeghe led his team with 42 goals and added 31 assists in 81 outings. He was among only 16 players in the league with at least 40 goals and 30 assists.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
