Toronto Maple Leafs forward Dylan Gambrell suffered a concussion in Tuesday's practice, as per head coach Sheldon Keefe, and will be out indefinitely. The Maple Leafs signed the former first-round pick to a one-year, $775K contract this offseason but it appears his status for opening night versus the Montreal Canadiens on Oct. 11 is in serious jeopardy. Gambrell spent the last two seasons with the Ottawa Senators, collecting four goals and 10 points alongside 35 penalty minutes and a minus-four rating across 60 games last season. The 27-year-old has notched 17 goals and 40 points across 233 regular-season contests while adding a goal across a pair of postseason games played.--Brenton Kemp
