Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand will take over the captain's duties on the team. The 35-year-old becomes the 27th captain in franchise history. Marchand takes over the role from Patrice Bergeron, who retired this offseason and had been the Bruins captain for three years. The veteran winger, who has spent his entire 15-year NHL career in Boston, has been an alternate captain on the team for the last five seasons. There have been some great role models for Marchand as captains in Beantown, with Zdeno Chara preceding Bergeron, and he should thrive in the role.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
