The Montreal Canadiens have acquired left wing Tanner Pearson from the Vancouver Cancuks for goaltender Casey DeSmith and a third-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. Pearson, who won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Los Angeles Kings in 2014, moves on from Vancouver after playing four and half seasons with the Canucks. The 31-year-old was limited to only 14 appearances last season due to a hand issue, which eventually needed multiple surgeries to get fixed. Pearson, who boasts 272 points (133 goals, 139 assists) in 590 career games, is now healthy and ready to go for the new campaign, and he'll have every incentive to play well, with this being a contract year for him.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
