Martin Truex Jr. came into the race at Bristol 13th in the playoff standings. Finishing 19th probably should not have been enough, but the Joe Gibbs Racing driver lucked out when Kevin Harvick ran into worse problems. Harvick finished five laps down in 29th. Combine that with a 34th from Joey Logano and Truex Jr. was given a free pass into the second round. It will be interesting to see what the No. 19 driver does in Texas. He finished 31st last year, but led 15 laps, and was in the top ten before an accident wrecked his day.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
