Often times getting a good finish at Bristol can come down to simply surviving the race, especially for the drivers that don't have a lot of speed in "Thunder Valley." That is exactly what Todd Gilliland needs to do in Saturday night's Bass Pro Shops Night Race. During practice on Friday, his No. 38 Ford was just 29th-fastest on the speed chart, and Gilliland wound up just 30th-fastest in qualifying later that day. He also started from 30th-place in this race one year ago, and wound up finishing in 18th thanks to attrition. Gilliland will likely need the same to happen this weekend if he wants to challenge for a top-20 result, and attrition is definitely something that is relatively common at a track like Bristol.--Jordan McAbee
