Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes was named the 15th captain in franchise history on Monday. He's the first blue-liner to have the honor of captaining the team since Doug Lidster in 1990-91. The Canucks were left looking for a new captain after trading Bo Horvat to the New York Islanders last January. Time will tell if the "C" on his jersey will push Hughes into even higher heights. He had a career year with 76 points (seven goals, 69 assists) in 78 games last season, and Hughes sits fourth all-time among all defensemen in assists per game with 0.76.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
