Heston Kjerstad Opens September On A Tear
1 year agoBaltimore Orioles prospect Heston Kjerstad homered Sunday to continue his scorching weekend. Kjerstad opened up the season's final month with seven hits in 15 at-bats, including the 414-foot blast. The 2020 second-overall pick has appeared to regain his stroke after recent struggles. The outfielder is hitting .307/.377/.539 with 20 home runs across two levels for the season. While many felt there was a chance that Kjerstad would join the Orioles once rosters expanded, he remained on the farm with an eye toward 2024. The former Arkansas Razorback remains an elite power prospect who could earn a regular role in the Orioles' lineup as soon as Opening Day next year.
