San Jose Sharks winger Mike Hoffman is looking forward to finally suiting up for the team, five years after the club initially acquired him. Back in the summer of 2018, the Ottawa Senators traded Hoffman to San Jose, but he was quickly flipped to the Florida Panthers. Following three different stops, Hoffman is now a Shark again, arriving from Montreal last week in a three-team trade. "It was a little surprising at first," Hoffman said about the trade to Josh Frojelin of San Jose Hockey Now. "Once it sunk in, it's an exciting time for me and my family. We're looking forward to the opportunity to play in San Jose and getting to meet the team, coaching staff, and all the workers around there." The veteran winger has seen his numbers consistently drop in recent years, and he had only 14 goals and 34 points in 67 games with the Canadiens last season. However, Hoffman could enjoy a bit of a renaissance in San Jose if he can lock down a top-six position.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
