Welcome back to our Two-Start Pitcher Streamers article - Waiver Wire Streamers and Starts for Week 19, from July 31 to August 6. With plenty of teams with seven games on their schedule this week, we're looking at a bunch of two-start pitchers. There are very few safe streamers this week, but there are still chances for you to get ahead with some of this week's two-start pitchers.
For those new to this recurring column, each week this fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify starting pitchers expected to make two starts in the upcoming week. It can be considered as fantasy baseball streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire run for leagues with weekly transactions.
There are 36 pitchers currently scheduled to make two starts during this period. We will be looking at pitchers who are less than 50% owned in Yahoo leagues. Listed will be those who are rostered over 50%, those who are best available under 50%, and risky options under 50%. There are a few other two-start pitchers available, but they should be avoided.

Best Available Two-Start Pitcher Streamers
Kyle Gibson (39% Rostered), Baltimore Orioles
Scheduled Starts:@ TOR, vs. NYM
Despite a 4.52 SIERA and 19.1% strikeout rate on the season, Kyle Gibson is in a good stretch of pitching. In his last four starts, the 36-year-old sports a 3.03 FIP and 19.6% K-BB% rate.
His first start this week is against a Blue Jays team that ranks 20th in scoring since June 1. His second start is against a Mets team that ranks 22nd in scoring since June 1.
Gibson has momentum going into matchups with two struggling offenses, making him a solid streaming option this week.
Ranger Suarez (29% Rostered), Philadelphia Phillies
Scheduled Starts: @ MIA, vs. KC
From May 30 to June 30, Ranger Suarez was one of the best pitchers on the planet. Suarez held a 1.35 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 23.5% strikeout rate, and 6.5% walk rate in six starts.
In July, Suarez holds a 6.11 ERA, 1.75 WHIP, 18% strikeout rate, and 10.2% strikeout rate through five starts.
He's been maddeningly inconsistent but you should like Suarez this week. Miami is 29th in scoring since July 15, and the Kansas City Royals are 29th in scoring over the entire season. The easy schedule and proven peak are enough to stream Suarez this week.
Risky Two-Start Streamer Picks
Domingo German (48% Rostered), New York Yankees
Scheduled Starts: vs. TB, vs. HOU
After his perfect game pushed him past streaming territory, Domingo German fell back to Earth with two straight stinkers.
His inconsistency makes him a tough pitcher to stream, but this week is especially difficult for German. Houston is a tough matchup for anybody. And while Tampa Bay is ice-cold offensively this month, they are far too talented to think about safely streaming German.
J.P. France (47% Rostered), Houston Astros
Scheduled Starts: vs. CLE, @ NYY
J.P. France's 2.87 ERA looks terrifying when you notice his 4.33 FIP and 4.84 SIERA. France's low 16.7% strikeout rate gives little cushioning for any possible implosion. With a matchup against a Cleveland team that ranks sixth in scoring this month, France is a risky stream.
Jack Flaherty (46% Rostered), St. Louis Cardinals
Scheduled Starts: vs. MIN, @ COL
There have been flashes of brilliance from Jack Flaherty this season, but stumbles along the way have doomed him to a 4.72 SIERA and 21.9% strikeout rate.
He'll get his first start against a Twins offense that is third in scoring since July 15. His second start in Coors Field is an automatic stream killer.
Edward Cabrera (43% Rostered), Miami Marlins
Scheduled Starts: vs. PHI, vs. TEX
After missing a month with a shoulder injury, Edward Cabrera returned with five innings of two-hit baseball against the Cardinals. He followed that up by allowing three runs in two innings before being pulled at just 53 pitches.
He'll get matchups against a talented Phillies lineup and the top-scoring offense in all of baseball. With endurance concerns, an early slip-up against these teams could doom you in fantasy baseball this week.
Seth Lugo (37% Rostered), San Diego Padres
Scheduled Starts: @ COL, vs. LAD
Despite his low rostered rate, Seth Lugo has been one of the more consistent pitchers in baseball. He holds a 3.66 ERA, 23.4% strikeout rate, and 4.7% walk rate in 15 starts for San Diego this season.
Lugo has been an incredibly reliable stream this season, but he has terrible matchups this week. A start in Coors is bad enough, but his second start against the powerhouse Dodgers withdraws him from streaming consideration this week.
Griffin Canning (27% Rostered), Los Angeles Angels
Scheduled Starts: @ ATL, vs. SEA
Griffin Canning has made significant strides this season, with a career-best 3.85 SIERA and 25.5% strikeout rate through 16 starts.
But the 27-year-old's first start against the Atlanta Braves could ruin his week before he even gets to face off against the Mariners.
Ben Lively (13% Rostered), Cincinnati Reds
Scheduled Starts: @ CHC, vs. WAS
The Cubs have scored an eye-popping 96 runs in the past two weeks -- 17 more runs than the second-ranked Cardinals. Chicago has torn up pitchers this month; they might slaughter Ben Lively before he gets back to Cincinnati.
Johan Oviedo (13% Rostered), Pittsburgh Pirates
Scheduled Starts: vs. DET, @ MIL
Johan Oviedo allowed five runs in four innings against the Angels. In the start after, he limited the red-hot Padres to just three hits in six innings. That story has repeated countless times this season, culminating in a 4.60 ERA through 21 starts.
Oviedo's extreme inconsistency makes him tough to stream, regardless of his matchups. But with eight runs allowed in his last start against Milwaukee, it's easy to say no to Oviedo this week.
Noah Syndergaard (10% Rostered), Cleveland Guardians
Scheduled Starts: @ HOU, vs. CHW
Noah Syndergaard hasn't pitched a major-league game since June 6, but he'll make his return on a brand new team. The 30-year-old was swapped for starting shortstop Amed Rosario and will step into a two-start week.
Syndergaard desperately needed a change of scenery, with a 7.16 ERA and 15.4% strikeout rate in 12 starts with the Dodgers.
Injuries have hit Thor hard, but all hope is not lost. While his fastball will never touch 100 mph again, he has still found some success at lower velocities. In 2022, Syndergaard held a 3.94 ERA in 24 starts despite sitting in the low-90s with his fastball. He was an integral piece to Philadelphia's playoff push, with a 3.24 ERA in four appearances as an opener and reliever.
He doesn't have the strikeout cushion he had in the past, but his 4.70 SIERA this season indicates that slightly better things are in store for him in Cleveland. Syndergaard's two starts are worth following but not streaming at this juncture.
