The Cleveland Guardians selected one of the strongest high-school hitters in the entire draft class, picking California prep Ralphy Velazquez with the 23rd overall pick in the MLB draft Sunday. Velasquez was nominally a catcher, but the defense is a concern. He has a fringe plus arm that could work if moved to an outfield corner spot. Velazquez has exceptional raw power, and his profile is very similar to the profile that Kyle Schwarber possessed coming out of college in 2014.--Benjamin Chase
