Los Angeles Kings center Anze Kopitar has signed a two-year extension with the team. The Slovenian star was set to become an unrestricted free agent next summer, but the new deal now has him tied down until the end of the 2025-26 NHL season. The contract is worth $14 million and comes with a cap hit of $7 million. Kopitar's current cap hit stands at $10 million, so the Kings will open up a nice chunk of money next year with his new contract. The team captain will be turning 36 in August, but Kopitar has still been producing at a very high level and finished last season with 28 goals and 74 points in 82 games. Kopitar has spent all of his career in L.A. and is sitting third on the Kings' all-time scoring list with 1,141 points.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
