Free College Baseball Betting Picks - Today's Best Bets, Expert Predictions (5/19/23)

Baseball Betting Picks - Today's Best Bets

Casey Wilson's top NCAA college baseball betting picks and best bets for today's NCAA Baseball games on 5/19/23. His free picks include moneylines and moneyline parlays.

We have entered the best part of the College Baseball season as teams are jockeying for outright bids and conference tournament regular season titles/seeding. This is the final weekend before the conference tournaments. Regionals, Super Regionals, and the College World Series are on the horizon, believe it or not. If you are familiar with the NCAA basketball tournament, college baseball is run similarly and has just as much madness. Teams are grouped into 16 pods of four teams hosted by the top 16 teams in the country. Being able to host is a significant advantage. At this point in the season, it is what the top teams are focusing on.

We did it again last Friday, going three for three in our article. I am scorching hot with college baseball picks. Since 4/27, I have been 66-41. I am up 28.38 units over that span. There's no better time of the year with regionals on the way and no better time to be as hot as I am. I will, like always, provide you with my three favorite bets for today.

Sportsbooks have recently taken away game totals and run lines in College Baseball. This article will focus on moneylines and often parlaying teams to get better odds. Not all books have college lines, so DraftKings Sportsbook will be my primary book. If you find a line in another book, feel free to use that as well. With no further adieu, here are my favorite bets for Friday, May 19, 2023.

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

California @ #24 Washington

Bears: TBA | Huskies: Kiefer Lord

Washington (33-14) hosts California (22-26) for game two of their three-game conference showdown. Washington won in dominating fashion last night behind Stu Flesland 12-1. The win extends their winning streak to seven straight games now. They are coming off three series wins backed by an outstanding pitching staff and have propelled themselves to number two in the Pac-12 conference standings. They have a two-headed monster in Stu Flesland and Kiefer Lord. Kiefer Lord will be starting today and has a 6-3 record with a 4.03 ERA this season. Cal has yet to announce a starter.

If this game stays close, the Huskies will trout out Case Matter at the back end of their bullpen. Matter hasn't allowed a run in 13 consecutive appearances. He leads the team with four saves and has struck out 25 batters while issuing just five hits over his last 18.1 innings pitched. The offense is led by the red-hot Will Simpson, who has homered twice in back-to-back series-opening games, including a grand slam in last night's victory. The offense is red hot, scoring over 11 runs in its previous four consecutive games.

Pick: Washington Moneyline (-165) DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

#3 Stanford @ Washington State

Cardinals: Quinn Mathews | Cougars: Shane Spencer

Stanford (35-14) will play their second game of a three-game set at Washington State (29-21) after they won game one 7-6. It took a late rally from the Cardinals and ten innings to get the job done, but this was without Matthews on the bump. Stanford has already won the Pac-12 regular season title with a 21-7 record and will be the number one seed come conference tournament time. They are also locked into a top-eight national seed. Although we may see Matthews have a shorter leash than usual, it's still not enough to take me off Stanford in this spot.

If you have read this article in the past, you know my obsession for the Cardinals when Senior Quinn Mathews gets the ball. Matthews is one of the best pitchers in the country and enters play today with a 6-3 record and a 3.08 ERA. He has 113 strikeouts to only 28 walks. He competes in the strike zone with excellent stuff; that is all we can ask for in college baseball. The Cardinals have him throwing game two here to line up in his regular rotation spot on Fridays. His opponent is Shane Spencer. Spencer has only thrown 28 total innings this season and has a 5.79 ERA. This is a massive mismatch for the Cardinals.

Pick: Stanford Moneyline (-175) DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

Texas A&M @ Mississippi State

Aggies: TBA | Bulldogs: TBA

We have an SEC showdown as Texas A&M heads to Starkville to battle Mississippi State. The Bulldogs won game one on a walk-off home run last night to keep their hopes of reaching the SEC tournament alive. Mississippi State needs an LSU sweep, a sweep of Texas A&M, and some help from Auburn this week to get into the SEC tournament. Their only chance of making a regional is winning the SEC tournament. They played with a ton of emotion last night and battled to a walk of win. Indeed it was fun to watch. They were also coming off a series win against #5 LSU last weekend, so they have a ton of momentum. It may be too little too late, but for tonight that doesn't matter too much to me.

Neither team has announced a starter yet, and to me, this is one of the few times I am not betting on a matchup based on pitching. The Diamond Dawgs hit many home runs as they are top 25 in the country. Texas A&M is not great on the mound, holding a 5.67 ERA as a team. This play is solely based on emotion. We have a team battling to keep their season alive at home against a team already in the SEC tournament and can't do much to improve their postseason stock. Let's ride with the hot hand and hope for more magic out of Mississippi State.

Pick: Mississippi State Moneyline (+100) DraftKings Sportsbook
