New York Islanders center Brock Nelson registered a goal and an assist as the team managed to battle off elimination in Game 5 against Carolina on Tuesday. Nelson & Co. won a tight road contest 3-2, with the 31-year-old setting up Pierre Engvall for the opening goal in the middle of the first frame and scoring his second goal of the series early in the second. Nelson has been leading the Islanders offense all season long, and he is averaging a point per game through the playoffs so far.
