Shayne Gostisbehere Expected To Be Available Tuesday
Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere (undisclosed) is expected to be in the lineup Tuesday against the Islanders despite leaving the morning skate early. The offensive-minded blue-liner appeared to have tweaked something and left the ice in pain, but Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour has said that Gostisbehere "should be fine" for Game 5. The 30-year-old hasn't had a great playoff campaign so far, going scoreless in four outings with a minus-three rating, but with the team having lost a number of its top-six forward, the blue line has played a big part in the scoring. Gostisbehere and Jalen Chatfield are the only Hurricanes defensemen without a point through four games, while Brent Burns is tied for the team lead in scoring with five points.
