Vegas Golden Knights winger Reilly Smith made an early exit Thursday versus Calgary after suffering a lower-body injury. He didn't play in the third period, finishing with 11:39 of ice time. Vegas head coach Bruce Cassidy said after the game that it's unlikely Smith recovers in time for Saturday's game against the Oilers. It's a bad blow for the team and the player, as Smith entered Thursday's matchup riding a nine-game point streak. He's the second-best goal-scorer on the team with 24 markers and also among the leaders in overall scoring with 51 points. Paul Cotter, who was a healthy scratch Thursday, is set to replace Smith in the lineup.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
