New York Rangers goaltender Jaroslav Halak recorded his first shutout of the season on Sunday, stopping 22 shots in a 7-0 victory. The team exploded for a franchise-record six first-period goals, and it was easy sailing for Halak after that. The Rangers became the sixth team in NHL history with back-to-back shutouts while scoring six or more goals. Sunday's victory helped Halak to pick up his first win in five appearances. It's been a bumpy ride for him at times as Igor Shesterkin's backup, but Halak's record at 9-8-3 isn't too bad, and he has registered a decent 2.65 goals-against average with a .905 save percentage.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
