Christopher Bell was not the fastest Toyota on Saturday in qualifying. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver did inch into the top ten but some expected a result closer to the pole. Bell even turned in laps in practice only in 12th. That was three tenths of a second off the pole pace. Bell seemed a bit off as the track warmed up. The No. 20 car was faster but not fast enough in the corners. It felt like Bell qualifying in 2021 as opposed to last year. The Toyota led 32 laps in the Spring but can the car maintain speed in longer runs? That has been a question mark. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
