The St. Louis Blues have acquired left wing Jakub Vrana from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for forward Dylan McLaughlin and a seventh-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. Vrana is in the second season of a three-year contract he signed with the Red Wings in August of 2021 and can become an unrestricted free agent after next season. It is a low risk move for the Blues as the 27-year-old was formerly a 20-goal scorer in back-to-back seasons with the Capitals in the two seasons following their Stanley Cup win in 2018. Vrana will have a chance to bounce back on the Blues as he has shown his ability to contribute at the NHL level and the forward is worth adding in deeper formats and keeper leagues.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
