Ilya Samsonov Posts Another Shutout

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Ilya Samsonov recorded his second consecutive shutout on Tuesday as the team crushed Anaheim 7-0. After keeping the Kings at bay with 29 saves, Samsonov needed to make 28 saves this time around to keep a clean sheet. He is now rocking a shutout streak of 152:34. It's been a superb debut campaign for the former Washington man, as Samsonov has gone 9-2-0 with a 1.70 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage. He hasn't yet dropped a single game at home in eight appearances, becoming only the third Toronto goalie to get off to such a nice start on home ice.
