New York Islanders defenseman Adam Pelech suffered an upper-body injury in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to St. Louis, leaving the game four minutes before the final buzzer. He was driven into the boards behind the Islanders net by St. Louis' Robert Bortuzzo and Pelech appeared to have hit the back of his head on the boards. The team didn't have an update on his status after the game. Pelech has done a good job for the Islanders all over the ice this season, posting 11 points with 39 hits and 41 blocks in 27 games. He's been on the top defensive pairing with Ryan Pulock and the two have complemented each other well.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
