Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Seth Jones (thumb) is getting close to returning to the lineup. He is recovering from a broken thumb suffered on Oct. 30 versus Buffalo. Jones is back skating on his own in practice and Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson said on Wednesday that the 28-year-old is seven to ten days away from getting back to action. Jones was able to get four points in eight games before getting knocked out of the lineup. He didn't have a good start to the campaign, but Jones is a big presence at both ends of the ice for Chicago, and the team will hope to get him back as soon as possible. He will miss at least two more games, starting with Saturday's trip to Boston.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
