Frederik Andersen Not Close To Returning

Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen (lower body) isn't close to returning, according to head coach Rod Brind'Amour. The Hurricanes No. 1 has sat out five games after hurting himself during a practice session. He managed to get off to a decent start to the campaign before getting injured, putting together a 5-3-0 record. Antti Raanta and Pyotr Kochetkov have taken over the crease in Andersen's absence, with the latter seeing more success. Kochetkov has won both of his starts so far and even posted his first career shutout last time out against Chicago. He will be hoping that his performance earned him the nod for Thursday's big matchup against the defending champions Colorado Avalanche.
