Andrew Painter Continues To Rise For Phillies
Philadelphia Phillies pitching prospect Andrew Painter has won the organization's Minor League Pitcher of the Year Award with his impressive professional debut in 2022. The club's first-round pick in 2020 was short of perfect in his first campaign and went 6-2 with a 1.56 ERA between Single-A Clearwater, High-A Jersey Shore and Double-A Reading. He also recorded 155 strikeouts and walked just 25 batters in 103 2/3 innings. Despite being just 14 months removed from being drafted at 19 years old, Painter is a consensus top-25 prospect and could even have a chance of making his big-league debut for the Phillies in 2023. Dynasty fantasy managers should be rostering Painter and redraft managers should file his name away for next year's drafts.
