DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Friday Week 4 Daily College Fantasy Football (9/23/22)

Sean Tucker - CFB DFS Lineup Picks, Daily Fantasy College Football, NFL Draft Rookie

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Friday Week 4 (9/23/22). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We have a very nice Friday slate as the second appetizer for another Saturday monster. As per usual, I will be your DFS spirit guide for your college football journeys. This is the last week of non-conference for most teams, but we've got a couple of conference tilts on our Friday. Let's get started!

We start this off with Virginia heading up to the "Loud House" in Syracuse. Calling it the Carrier Dome anymore just doesn't feel the same, right? Nevada heads to Colorado Springs for their beating. Nevada beat Air Force the last time that they played in Colorado Springs back in 2018. We finish this off with Boise State heading to El Paso to take on a turnover-prone UTEP team. This is going to be fun!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/23/22 locking at 7 pm eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Garrett Shrader, Syracuse ($7,800)

Shrader looked lost last year after transferring in from Mississippi State. Now that he is familiar with the offense, the Orange are 3-0 for the first time since 2018. Shrader is a huge reason why. He is piling up DraftKings points because he just doesn't make mistakes. Shrader is responsible for eight passing touchdowns and three more on the ground and has yet to turn the ball over. I don't see Virginia forcing him into mistakes either. Virginia's defense has been surprisingly solid despite the offense handing out free possessions like Halloween candy. They have yet to face an offense like Syracuse though.

Haaziq Daniels, Air Force ($6,200)

Daniels isn't putting up numbers like your typical option quarterback does. He throws a little more (Daniels put up 14 passes into the friendly skies against Wyoming) and the strength of the Air Force backs often limits his carries. Still, quarterbacks that are able to run are still cheat codes in DFS. Daniels has a high ceiling due to his rushing ability, especially against a defense like Nevada's.

Also consider: Hank Bachmeier, Boise State ($7,300); Nate Cox, Nevada ($5,400)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Sean Tucker, Syracuse ($9,100)

Tucker was shut down by Purdue last week, but he should get back on track here against a Virginia team that has allowed 152 rushing yards per game so far. Tucker's work in the passing game usually gives him a high floor. I think some will sour on Tucker after his lackluster performance against Purdue, but he should get back on track here against the Hoos. He won't find the going as easy as he did against UConn or Louisville, but the volume should help him keep his value.

George Holani, Boise State ($6,600)

The Miners have one of the worst run defenses in FBS so far this season, allowing 199.3 rushing yards per game. This paints a pretty picture for a Boise team that looks to re-establish run dominance. Holani had a big game against UT-Martin. This is another game script that should be very favorable to the Broncos. I really like Ashton Jeanty as a punt if you need salary relief as well.

Also consider: Brad Roberts, Air Force ($8,400); John Lee Eldridge III, Air Force ($5,700); Reynaldo Flores, UTEP ($3,200)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Keytaon Thompson, Virginia ($5,800)

Thompson is the only piece of this Virginia offense that I really trust. Brennan Armstrong doesn't look comfortable back that and continues to make questionable decisions with the football. Wicks probably has a better floor, or at least he did in 2021. This Hoos offense is such a mess right now that I can only rely on the Swiss-Army knife that is Thompson. He can and often does do a little bit of everything, keeping his involvement higher than anyone else in the offense besides Armstrong.

Tyrin Smith, UTEP ($5,400)

The UTEP offense is a mess, but Smith still has at least 15 DraftKings points in every game this season. Yes, even against Oklahoma. Smith had one of the seven UTEP turnovers last week, but the fact that he hasn't caught less than five passes in any game so far makes him the least likely receiver to bust on this slate. That counts for something, especially when Smith is very affordable.

Lavel Davis Jr., Virginia ($4,600)

With Billy Kemp IV still out, we have seen Davis get a lot more playing time and get some of those balls that usually went the way of Kemp. Teams have keyed in on Wicks, leaving Davis to get a few more open looks. I would be careful with how many Virginia pieces that I put in there against the Orange, but I love the value that Davis provides.

Also consider: Oronde Gadsden II, Syracuse ($6,400); Latrell Caples, Boise State ($5,200); Dalevon Campbell, Nevada ($4,800)
