DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Week 2 Daily College Fantasy Football - Saturday Prime Time (9/10/22)

Sean Tucker - CFB DFS Lineup Picks, Daily Fantasy College Football, NFL Draft Rookie

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday Prime Time Week 2 (9/10/22) slate. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

Week 2 doesn't include as many marquee matchups as Week 1, but let's face it: it's easy to get spoiled after the great games we had last weekend. That's not to say that this isn't still going to be a fantastic Saturday for DFS purposes. The great games didn't end with the afternoon sun. We have some good ones after sundown as well.

We have Kentucky and Florida in the Swamp. The high-powered Oklahoma offense is on the prime-time slate again. We have the revamped Syracuse offense taking on UConn. Auburn is on here. USC heads to the Farm. Disappointing Boston College and Virginia Tech teams face off. We also have another great one in Stillwater with the Cowboys hosting Arizona State. This is going to be fun!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/10/22 locking at 7 pm eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Caleb Williams, USC ($9,000)

From a DFS standpoint, Williams didn't dazzle in his debut. It wasn't his fault. USC just came out firing on all cylinders against a hopelessly bad Rice team. This game should be much closer, giving Williams the chance to grow on his 19-for-22 USC debut. I still don't think his ceiling is as high as Sanders, but Williams should at least come close to paying this price off.

Spencer Sanders, Oklahoma State ($7,700)

Sanders set a career-high in passing yards in the opener. Arizona State is going to be a much tougher opponent, but the Sun Devils' defense wasn't tested either. We still don't know a lot about these two teams, but it definitely seems like Sanders is going to end up passing more than he is used to, at least early on. He didn't have to throw that much against Central Michigan. The game plan felt like the Pokes were trying to round out his game.

Emory Jones, Arizona State ($6,000)

Jones wasn't all that great passing the ball in the opener, but that's not why we play him. We play him for his running ability. He scored two rushing touchdowns in the opener. We just saw Oklahoma State have some issues with Daniel Richardson of Central Michigan, also a dual-threat QB. Jones could give this defense fits as well. For this price, it's worth finding out if he can.

Also consider: Dillon Gabriel, Oklahoma ($9,500); Garrett Shrader, Syracuse ($7,500); Rocky Lombardi, Northern Illinois ($6,200); Phil Jurkovec, Boston College ($5,300)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Sean Tucker, Syracuse ($9,400)

We knew Tucker could run. What we weren't expecting was six receptions in the opener as well. Tucker is the central part of this Syracuse offense and will be against UConn as well...at least until this game is out of hand. Syracuse will probably rest him as much as they dare since he left with a minor injury (but returned) in the opener.

Tank Bigsby, Auburn ($7,400)

Auburn stuck to the ground in the opener, but T.J. Finley still struggled against Mercer. He threw two interceptions in 13 pass attempts. I expect another big game for Tank here as Auburn tries to get Finley acclimated before they get into the meat of their schedule. When you have a guy that runs like Tank, why not?

Harrison Waylee, Northern Illinois ($5,900)

Tulsa gave up 143 rushing yards to a Wyoming team that really didn't do much well in that game. Waylee picked up where he left off in 2021 after going down in Week 6. He had a nice game in Week 1 and should see a lot more action against Tulsa this week.

Keyshawn King, Virginia Tech ($5,000)

King was one of the few bright spots for the Hokies, running for 111 yards and scoring a receiving touchdown in the opener. He now stands alone atop the Hokies RB depth chart with Malachi Thomas still out. There wasn't a lot to like for Boston College fans in the opener, losing a game that they should have won against Rutgers. King should get plenty of running room here.

Also consider: Austin Jones, USC ($7,100); Xazavian Valladay, Arizona State ($6,500); Jarquez Hunter, Auburn ($5,900); E.J. Smith, Stanford ($4,900)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Keylon Stokes, Tulsa ($7,600)

Stokes was targeted more than JuanCarlos Santana in the opener, so I tend to believe that Stokes is still the top overall receiver for Tulsa. I like Santana here too as the downfield threat, but NIU is very good at keeping things in front of them. In my mind, this makes Stokes a little more valuable here. We saw how much Tulsa is willing to throw in the opener.

Dante Cephas, Kent State ($5,600)

UTEP threw for nearly 300 yards against Oklahoma. They also spread it around a lot more than Kent will. Cephas caught as many passes as the rest of the receiving corps combined. Kent will be playing from behind the entire game, so I love Cephas as a one-off play. He feels cheap for as high as the ceiling is.

Zay Flowers, Boston College ($5,500)

Flowers accounted for nearly half of the total yards against Rutgers, which is unheard of for a receiver. Jurkovec looked almost nowhere else in that game. Flowers will probably have the highest target share of any receiver and he's middle-of-the-pack as far as pricing goes. There is significant upside here.

Ja'Varrius Johnson, Auburn ($4,500)

Johnson not only dazzled with a couple of big plays in the passing game, but he got a couple of carries out of the backfield as well. It appears that Auburn is looking to get Johnson the ball any way they can, which is great for DFS purposes. The Tigers have another feeble opponent here which should allow for another big game from Johnson.

Also consider: Jordan Addison, USC ($9,300); Brennan Presley, Oklahoma State ($6,500); Michael Wilson, Stanford ($5,300); Brayden Willis, Oklahoma ($3,700)

College Football DFS Game Stack Options

You know which team stacks are often good, but this isn't baseball. Game stacks can and do work. Just look at Appalachian State-North Carolina last week. That game made several DFS players a few thousand bucks. Who can do that this week? Let's check it out!

Kent State at Oklahoma

Kent put up 20 points on Washington last week and will likely be able to do the same against the Sooners. The defense has talent and is still learning on the job. We know this Oklahoma offense can score. I don't know that I would take the over at 73 in this game, but the total could get close to that. A Schlee-Cephas mini stack from the Kent side allows for Gabriel/Mims/Willis/Eric Gordon with enough left over for a couple more stars.

Honorable Mention: USC at Stanford
