Michael King Will Likely Avoid Tommy John Surgery

Jon Heyman of the New York Post provided an update on injured New York Yankees reliever Michael King (elbow) on Tuesday morning. He stated that King's UCL injury is looking "pretty good for a pitcher," meaning that he'll likely only need surgery to repair the fracture. It's unlikely that Tommy John surgery will be required. King will still miss the remainder of the 2022 season, but the hope is that by avoiding Tommy John, he can be ready for spring training next year.
