Domingo German Goes Four Innings In Third Rehab Start
Domingo German (shoulder) allowed an earned run on two hits while walking none and striking out three in four innings in his second minor league rehab start for Double-A Somerset on Sunday. German has been out all year with a right shoulder impingement, but he's posted a 0.87 ERA and a 0.48 WHIP while walking none and striking out six in 10 1/3 innings in three rehab starts (one with Single-A Tampa) and he's getting close to making his season debut for the Bronx Bombers. The 29-year-old is being built up for a starter's workload, but he's most likely to return as a multi-inning reliever for the Yankees out of the bullpen, which will leave him very little fantasy appeal.
