Patrick Sandoval Roughed Up By Astros

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Patrick Sandoval tied his season high by allowing five runs in a losing effort against the Astros on Saturday night. The 25-year-old allowed three runs to come around in the first, and then another pair to score in the second as he would go on to surrender eight hits over his five frames of work. Sandoval salvaged his outing by striking out nine and walking just two to give him a 74/32 K/BB through 70 IP this season. The lefty has posted an admirable 3.09 ERA with a not so sharp 1.41 WHIP so far in 2022 as he'll look to rebound versus the Orioles next week.
