David Robertson Picks Up 11th Save

Chicago Cubs relief pitcher David Robertson picked up his 11th save of the season on Saturday, closing out his team's 3-1 win over the Red Sox. The veteran worked around a leadoff double by striking out Rafael Devers and J.D. Martinez, and then after issuing a free pass to put the tying run on base, he got Alex Verdugo to ground out to end the game. Robertson has been sharp as the team's primary closer this season by pitching to a 1.72 ERA and 0.93 WHIP with 41 K through 31 1/3 IP. The 37-year-old is resembling his former All-Star self and should provide strong numbers the rest of the way if health cooperates.
