The San Antonio Spurs drafted guard Malaki Branham with the 20th overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft. Branham is a 6'5" guard who spent one season at Ohio State University before declaring for the NBA. He got off to a slow start to his freshman year last season, but really came around in the final months of the season. He scored in double-digits in each of his last 11 collegiate games, including a 31-point outburst against Illinois in late February. Branham was extremely efficient overall last year, shooting 49.8% from the field, 41.6% from the three-point line and 83.3% from the free throw strike. The Spurs have a lot of guards and wings in their rotation right now, so the rookie may struggle to work his way into a rotation spot this season.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBallerRead More News
