Edwin Diaz Picks Up 13th Save

New York Mets reliever Edwin Diaz picked up his 13th save of the season on Thursday as his club defeated the Brewers 5-4. The right-hander nearly blew his fourth save of the year by issuing a leadoff single to Hunter Renfroe, and after striking out the next batter, Tyrone Taylor hit a bloop double to right where Renfroe was thrown out at the plate. Diaz went on to strike out Christian Yelich to end the game and keep his scoreless appearance streak alive at seven games. Despite the close call tonight, Diaz remains one of the top closers in fantasy as he sits with a 2.05 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and 50 strikeouts through 26 1/3 IP.
