Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler tossed seven innings of one-run ball on Thursday as he improved his record to 6-3 in the club's 10-1 rout over the Nationals. The right-hander struck out three and walked none while giving up just four hits on the night with the only damage coming off a Josh Bell homer in the fourth inning. Wheeler needed just 86 pitches to get through the seven frames as he's now gone at least six innings while allowing two runs or fewer in six straight contests. He'll take a sparkling 2.69 ERA and 1.04 WHIP into his next matchup versus the Rangers.
