The San Diego Padres have officially agreed to a contract with infielder Robinson Cano. The 39-year-old will get a major league contract after being released by the Mets on May 8. Cano will be a solid left-handed option off the bench and a possible option at designated hitter. This season, Cano is hitting .195/.233/.268, but everyone knows what he is capable of doing with the bat. However, his best days with the bat are behind him, so Cano is only worth a look in deep leagues.--Andy Webb
