Dylan Cease Tagged For Four Runs On Thursday

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dylan Cease got knocked around a bit in the team's 6-3 loss to the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday. He pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed eight hits, two walks and four earned runs while striking out three. He was tagged with his first loss of the year, dropping his record to 2-1. The 26-year-old was stellar over his first two outings of the year, allowing just two earned runs over 10.2 innings. Now, however, his ERA is up to 3.38, while his WHIP is sitting at 1.25. He'll look to shake this start off in his next trip to the mound against the Kansas City Royals next Wednesday.
