New York Islanders goaltender Semyon Varlamov registered his second shutout of the season Friday with a 27-save effort in a 3-0 win over the Rangers. He became the second goalie in league history to have four straight road shutouts against one opponent. Alec Connell did it first with the original Ottawa Senators against the New York Americans all the way back in 1926. This marks Varlamov's third straight victory, and he's now 9-13-2 for the season with a 2.73 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage. The Russian veteran has picked a good time to put in his best performances of the season, as Ilya Sorokin (upper body) is injured and it's unclear when he'll be game ready again. The Islanders officially consider him as day-to-day.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
