3 Impact Fantasy Baseball Prospects To Stash - Kristian Campbell, Robby Snelling, Sal Stewart

Kristian Campbell - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Prospects

Three top fantasy baseball prospects - Kristian Campbell, Robby Snelling, Sal Stewart - that can make big impacts. These MLB prospects are waiver wire pickups or stashes.

Stashing the right prospect can provide a much-needed impact to your fantasy baseball team. Managers who were looking for pitchers could have struck gold by stashing Jacob Misiorowski, Noah Cameron, or Logan Henderson at times during the first half. On the hitting side, two top prospects, Roman Anthony and Nick Kurtz, have flashed immense power. In addition, outfield prospect Chandler Simpson could lead the sport in stolen bases by the end of the campaign.

In this piece, we will look at two emerging hitting prospects at the Triple-A level and a budding pitcher in Florida who is showcasing immense strikeout upside.

Should those players be left on the waiver wire, or should fantasy managers add them before their breakout? Let's dive in!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball draft tools and resources:

Kristian Campbell, INF/OF, Boston Red Sox

Current Level: AAA
Availability: 15% rostered
2025 AAA Stats:45 G, .274/.396/.433, 6 2B, 6 HR, 3 SB

Unlike most of the other prospects on this list, the Red Sox are not manipulating Kristian Campbell's prospect status by keeping him in the minors, as he's already spent a good amount of time in the majors this season.

Campbell is starting to heat up in Triple-A, suggesting that he can have a significant role in Boston if he returns during the stretch run.

While Campbell's first stint in the majors ended with a bit of disappointment, you can tell he's chomping at the bit to get back to Boston. When he does, I expect a solid all-around offensive profile and some flashes of what made him one of the top prospects in baseball coming into the season.

Given his recent surge in production at Triple-A, the former top prospect remains a top hitting prospect to stash this week. Even though the Red Sox recently acquired first baseman Nathaniel Lowe, Campbell would immediately fit into their starting lineup as soon as he were to earn the call. He is worth stashing in all 12+ team leagues this week.

Robby Snelling, SP, Miami Marlins

Current Level: AAA
Availability: 5% rostered
2025 AAA Stats: 33 2/3 IP, 1.34 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 43 SO, 7 BB

The Miami southpaw made his first appearance on this list last weekend, and he has continued to find high success at Triple-A. In his most recent outing at Triple-A Jacksonville (on August 13), Snelling racked up nine punchouts across six innings of two-run ball (zero earned) with only two free passes.

Since joining Triple-A earlier in July, the left-hander has been one of the most dominant pitchers in the minors. Through his first 33 2/3 innings at the top level of the Miami system this season (six starts), Snelling has posted an eye-catching 1.34 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP. During this stretch, Snelling struck out 43 hitters and served up only nine walks.

Earlier in the campaign, Snelling was not as productive at Double-A Pensacola, logging 72 1/3 innings to the tune of a 3.61 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP.

However, Snelling does not have the clearest path to a potential debut soon. Currently, the Marlins have five locked-in starting pitchers who do not appear to be in danger of losing their positions. Cal Quantrill has allowed seven runs in two of his last three outings and could be the name to shift to the relief role to open a spot for Snelling.

For the time being, Snelling remains at the stash option reserved for deeper leagues, despite his elite strikeout potential. If Snelling continues to dominate and Quantrill continues to stumble, he could enter "must-stash" territory.

Sal Stewart, 2B/3B, Cincinnati Reds

Current Level: AAA
Availability: 5% rostered
2025 AAA Stats: 27 G, .324/.397/.627, 13 2B, 6 HR, 3 SB

With the Reds acquiring Ke'Bryan Hayes at the deadline, many wondered if that squashed any chance of seeing Sal Stewart in the Majors this season. It certainly made the path to Major League playing time much harder for Stewart, but I still believe he's the next man up for Cincinnati if there were an injury to a corner outfielder (pushing Andujar from DH to outfield), to Hayes, or if the streaky Miguel Andujar were to go into a funk at the plate.

Stewart is one of the most advanced hitting prospects in the minor leagues right now, with one of the highest floors as well. In 107 games this season, Stewart is slashing .311/.382/.513, and that slash line has risen to .324/.397/.627 with 13 doubles and six home runs in 27 games so far in Triple-A.

While Stewart's contact rate has dipped to 74.8% in Triple-A, he's been an above-average contact/approach hitter throughout his minor league career. His quality of contact metrics has been impressive in Triple-A as well, with a 92.5 mph AVG EV, 48.8% hard-hit rate, and an 18.6% barrel rate.

For now, he is worth a spot on your roster in all 12+ team formats. If either Andujar or Hayes were to hit a skid at the plate, the Reds could look to promote Stewart immediately as they look to stay in the Wild Card race.
